Plan coverage rather than outline alone
Show the vehicle positions and the times when shade matters most. A sail edge does not shade exactly the same footprint throughout the day. Adjacent buildings, orientation and spaces between separate sails should be considered when arranging the cover.
Locate every corner support
Corner positions influence the shape and the space beneath the sail. Identify where columns or approved building connections can be reviewed, and mark underground services and access paths. Existing buildings require their own assessment before they are included in the support arrangement.
Specify fabric and water management
A sail shape does not make a fabric waterproof. HDPE mesh and coated membranes have different product constructions, so the selected fabric and installation details need to match the project brief. The team reviews the roof geometry, tensioning and connections before confirming the scope.
Options in this family
Sail-type parking shade
Identify every corner support and the bays to cover. The sail outline and its shade footprint differ as the sun moves, so orientation is part of the layout review. Choose the fabric by its product data and the specified water-management requirement.

Questions about this design
Will a shade sail cover every bay all day?
The shade footprint changes with the sun and surrounding features. The layout should be reviewed around the bays and the periods when coverage is required.
Is every parking sail waterproof?
No. Water behaviour depends on the selected fabric and the complete roof detailing, not the sail shape alone.
