What types of car parking shades and other shades do you supply?
We supply single and double cantilever, pyramid, arch, cone and tensile parking shades, with the arrangement selected for your parking layout. We also provide school, playground, pool and walkway shades, tensile structures, and fabric replacement or repairs for suitable existing shades.
Which parking shade fabric should I choose: HDPE, PVC or PVDF?
HDPE is a good option to discuss when you want shade with airflow. For rain protection, we can review a suitable PVC-coated membrane with the canopy’s seams and drainage. PVDF is generally a surface finish on a coated membrane. Tell us your priorities and any specified GALE grade, and we’ll help you compare the complete fabric options.
Are waterproof and fire-rated shade options available?
Yes. We can review waterproof coverings and flame-retardant fabrics for your project. For example, GALE Commercial NinetyFive 340 FR is a flame-retardant HDPE option. We’ll check the selected product’s documentation against your requirements; rain protection also needs suitable seams, canopy geometry and drainage. Flame-retardant fabric is not fireproof.
What steel structure and finishes do you use?
Steel member sizes and connections follow the project design, span, loads and support arrangement. Available protection options include hot-dip galvanizing, powder coating and suitable protective paint systems. Surface preparation, including abrasive blasting where specified, is selected for the chosen system and site exposure.
Can parking shades be designed for high wind conditions?
Yes. We can review a parking shade design for your specified wind conditions. Share the location, layout and consultant’s requirements so the engineering review can consider the canopy, steelwork, connections and foundations together. The confirmed design conditions will be specific to your project.
Do you handle design, fabrication and installation?
We provide design, engineering, supply, fabrication and installation. The quotation defines the deliverables, any site assessment, and responsibility for foundations or other civil work. Project timing depends on the agreed scope, materials, approvals and site readiness.
