An assembly space needs a layout suited to groups gathering beneath it. A waiting area needs clear access. A covered route needs enough room for students to move between buildings.
Tell us about entrances, existing equipment, bus access and any locations where columns cannot be placed. These details help define the proposed arrangement.
Agree materials against the school specification
Fabric options include HDPE, PVC-coated polyester, PTFE and PVDF-coated fabric. Rigid roofing can also be considered where appropriate. The material and steel finish are selected against the project brief.
If the school or consultant has specified a fabric grade, coating, colour or documented fire-performance requirement, include it with the inquiry. We confirm the proposed specification before fabrication.
Schedule work around the school calendar
Share the preferred completion date, holiday windows and permitted working hours. We review these alongside fabrication and site requirements before confirming the programme.
Foundations and excavation are agreed per project. Where the school's civil contractor completes them, that responsibility needs to be included in the work sequence.
Existing school shades and fabric replacement
We also review existing structures for repairs and replacement fabric. Send photographs of each affected area and note whether the school remains in use during the proposed work.
